Full Force Competition Prep ModeWritten by Jenna Limerick
Right, so at the moment I am in full force competition preparation mode. The first show that I am aiming to enter is Miss Fitness South Africa in Cape Town on the 18th of September (which is 6weeks away), but that is only if my trainer and mentor Chris Scott thinks I am ready.
I would never enter any show not being 100% Certain that I am in my best condition. The two people that handle my diet for me are Chris Scott and IFBB Pro Marius Dohne. At the moment they have me on a ketogenic diet (zero carbs) which leaves me feeling exhausted and weak but it really works.
It is very difficult training and working while on this diet but my mind is strong, so I manage to get through it. With regards to training I do 30minutes cardio in the morning on an empty stomach, then I do my weight training in the afternoon, a different bodypart everyday.
The other contests I will be entering are, NABBA South Africa to defend my title of Miss Bikini SA and also the Muscle Evolution Grand Prix. I am very excited for this upcoming competitive season and keep your eyes peeled for some very exciting photoshoots I will be doing with some of South Africa's top photographers.
Thanks to everyone that supports me especially to Chris and Marius for never giving up on me and guiding me and to the man upstairs for giving me these opportunities to live my dream.
Remember that the strongest muscle in your body is your mind and if that is strong you can achieve anything.
